Wind Energy Holding Company Limited (WEH) was established in 2009 as the pioneering private developer in Thailand’s wind power generation industry. We were the first operator to successfully establish a large-scale commercial wind farm in the country. Our initial milestone was achieved in 2012 with the Commercial Operation Date (COD) of the First Korat Wind (FKW) project. This project, with an installed capacity of 103.5 MW in Nakhon Ratchasima Province, marked the first commercial wind power plant for both WEH and Thailand.
Today, WEH is recognized as the No. 1 wind energy provider in Thailand, delivering the highest volume of wind power to the system and possessing the largest installed capacity. Our portfolio currently consists of 8 operational onshore wind farm projects in Nakhon Ratchasima and Chaiyaphum provinces, covering a total operational area of 850 square kilometers with 717 MW totaling 270 turbines accounting for 24% of Thailand’s wind power target under the AEDP2015 plan
