Nakhon Ratchasima\u2019s Dan Khun Thod district worked with a private company in the renewable energy sector to organise \u2018the Dan Khun Thod cycling for poor students 2019\u201d event. It was a charity raising money project to support poor students with educational expenses. The event drew a dozen of people, with more than 500 cyclists being registered to join it. Cyclists went through Huay Bong Windmill Field, Thailand\u2019s and ASEAN\u2019s largest wind farm.<\/p>\n
The Dan Khun Thod cycling for poor students 2019 took place on February 17, 2019. The district chief Mr Paitoon Mahachuenjai and Phoonoppon Phoopipat, Wind Engineering Holding Co., Ltd.\u2019s Director of Wind Energy Development Department co-presided over the opening ceremony.<\/p>\n
Sponsored by Wind Engineering Holding Co., Ltd, the project, Mr Paitoon said, was aimed at raising money for low-income students in 16 schools under Hindad Huay Bong Education Quality Assurance of Child Development Centre.<\/p>\n
The programme\u2019s objectives also included to promote local tourism in response to the government\u2019s \u2018one tambon one product\u2019 initiative; and encourage the community members and the local state officers to cycle for health.<\/p>\n
Proceeds after deducing expenses will go to Children Education Fund.<\/p>\n
