Wind Energy Holding Lays Foundation Stone for "DKT1" Wind Power Plant, Paving the Way Toward a New 2,000 MW Growth Milestone

Wind Energy Holding Company Limited (WEH) continues to accelerate its renewable energy investments with the official foundation stone laying ceremony for its latest wind power project, "Dan Khun Thot Wind One" (DKT1). Located in Thepharak District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, the 89.7 MW project represents a total investment of 4,728 million THB. DKT1 is scheduled to achieve its Commercial Operation Date (COD) and begin revenue recognition in December 2027 under a 25-year long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), charting a clear path toward the company’s future target of 2,000 MW.

Mr. Nuttpasint Chet-udomlap, Chief Executive Officer of Wind Energy Holding Company Limited (WEH)—Thailand’s pioneer and leading wind power developer—revealed that the foundation stone laying ceremony took place on June 30, 2026. The DKT1 project is operated under its subsidiary, Dan Khun Thot Wind One Company Limited. This milestone marks the official commencement of construction for the new wind farm, reflecting the company’s strong growth potential and the successful collaboration between WEH, financial institutions, wind turbine technology partners, and contractors.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of the local government and police authorities of Thepharak and Dan Khun Thot Districts, alongside community leaders.

The DKT1 wind farm is one of four new renewable energy projects awarded to the company by the government, totaling a contracted capacity of 299.1 MW. This expansion boosts WEH's renewable energy portfolio to 1,016.1 MW across 12 projects, which include:

• 8 operational wind power projects with a combined installed capacity of 717
• 4 projects in development (Scheduled Commercial Operation Date or SCOD) totaling 299.1 MW. Construction and revenue recognition for these projects will roll out sequentially between 2027 and 2029, spearheaded by DKT1 as the first project.

"This is not merely about corporate growth; it is about leveraging our extensive expertise and experience to build a solid foundation for clean energy, ensuring a secure, reliable, and sustainable energy future for Thailand."
